      Contract Update

      Members: Here is an update on where we are with our upcoming contract bargaining. We will be begin mediation on 07/20/2021 as discussions were not moving in a timely manner therefore mediation was necessary.  Thank you for your continued support.

      AOCE President Appointment

      On 5/11/21, the AOCE Eboard appointed Elena Martinez as the Interim President of AOCE, filling the vacancy that existed. Elena Martinez is a Correctional Officer at Oregon State Penitentiary and has served in various special teams for the Department, EE&R, and has served on the AOCE Eboard in the past.

      COVID Leave update

      ARAG Legal insurance

      MCCF closure

      Dear Members, As most of you have read, the Governor and ODOC are looking to close three minimum institutions next bienium.  Their first potential closure is scheduled to be MCCF.  We are not happy with this news, as we are sure you are not either. AOCE is working with our Lobbyist and attorney on different avenues to fight for our members and to keep MCCF open.
